June, 2018 Newsletter
Your Board wishes you a happy
summer now that it is finally here, and would like to bring a few items to your
attention.
In 2014 we replaced the old, damaged
dock on the Champagne Shores Lake, and recently added two green metallic picnic
tables in that same area for your enjoyment to use. (No alcoholic beverages are permitted, per
our by-laws.) A tremendous thank you
goes out to our Trustee Gene Ermlick, and his wife Carolyn, for not only
transporting the tables to the area they are in, but for assembling them in 90
degree weather.
Speaking of the lake,
unfortunately, we have received complaints about homeowners not cleaning up
after their dogs that they have taken for walks around our lakes, and also in
our neighborhoods. Please, let’s all
remember that the use of the trails is both our privilege, and our
responsibility. Please be thoughtful and
considerate of our neighbors while walking your dogs by removing their waste,
in accordance with the Township’s resolution, number 091499.01.
The lakes are for all our residents to use. Just
remember that canoes, paddleboats and other boats are permitted, but not rafts,
or any type of power boat.
With summer now here, folks are
viewing their homes and property and making lists of what they would like to
accomplish. If one of your projects is
to paint your mailbox, I understand that if you go to Sherwin Williams and tell
them that you live in
PART
G: RESIDENTIAL AREA COVENANTS,
Mailboxes. All mailboxes must be in a size, style, and
color approved by the Homeowners’ Association and maintained in good condition.
If you need to make repairs, or
have a contractor that will make them for you, all the information you require
can be found on our website: www.emeraldlakes.org. Once on the website, simply click on “MAIL
BOX INFO.” It will even tell you where
to obtain the green mailbox. The website
is very complete.
Please be mindful of your neighbors
landscaping. A lot of time, effort and
finances have been put into them. If
your children or pets disturb them, please leave them in the same condition as
you found them.
If you have suggestions for the
newsletter please contact the board at: Board@emeraldlakes.org. It’s your newsletter too, so suggestions are
more than welcome.
