2016 Fall Newsletter
The ELHOA Annual Meeting will be held on November 3rd at
7:30, at the Montville Township Safety Service Center. Reports will be
presented by all trustees, along with a proposed budget for this coming fiscal
year. It's a good time to find out what we've done in 2016, and to make
suggestions for 2017. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you then.

The ELHOA Trustees are also looking for a homeowner to fill
a vacant position on our board. If you feel you have the time and interest,
contact us. We'll arrange a meeting.

We had a warm early autumn, but the temperature's finally
dropping, along with most of our leaves. Since our vegetable gardens have been
harvested and most of our other plants have shut up shop for the year, the deer
in our area—who have been kind enough to supplement their diets at our
expense—have turned to acorns. They've been seen grazing at night and in the
early morning hours near oak trees on several of our homeowners' properties.
Keep an eye out for them if you're driving during those times. They're not easy
to notice, and tend to jump skittishly at random when approached

Trick or Treat times for Montville Township are 6 PM to 8 PM
on October 31st. It's recommended that parents lead caravans of children around
from door-to-door.

Let's close with a few reminders about our trails and lakes.
Please keep the former clean—so that if you walk a pet, bring a plastic bag for
their refuse. Avoid dumping grass cuttings, stones, or any other lawn debris on
the trails or into the lakes. If you see anybody doing this, let us know who it
is, and we'll take steps to see that it's cleaned up, and the guilty party pays
the tab for it.

We'll speak again this winter. Meanwhile, have a great Fall!
